As a trained and Registered Celebrant, I can assist you to create an individualised ceremony, whether this be traditional or an alternative creation. I can guide you through this journey so that your ceremony is special, unique, and memorable.
My services are offered with warmth and professionalism.
I have lived in the beautiful South Canterbury region for most of my life (apart from seven years spent travelling overseas). I was married for 26 years but am happily divorced now. I have three beautiful children who I adore. They are spreading their wings now by attending tertiary education and are making their way into the world of adulthood.
Timaru is my hometown. I love its proximity to the sea. The mountains, and only a two-hour drive to either Christchurch or Dunedin.
I have worked as a midwife in this area since 1991, and feel honoured and very privileged to share this special journey through this time in a womans life, just as it is an honour and a privilege to work with people as they move through any of their life journeys. Partnership and support are the cornerstones of my work.
The New Zealand Celebrant School Certificate in Celebrant Studies has been a significant achievement for me. The trainings have given me confidence, ideas, and opportunities for sharing with other lie-minded individuals. I have been a Registered Celebrant, appointed under Section 11 of the Marriage Act 1955 by the Department of Internal Affairs, since 2016. I support the New Zealand Marriage Equality Act 2013 which gives all couples the same legal rights and recognition.
I am proud to be a member of the Celebrants Association of New Zealand (CANZ) because this professional organisation supports the work of celebrants, providing ethical and professional standards for celebrants as well as on-going professional development opportunities.
